If summer is generally synonymous with beautiful sunny days, beaches and multicolored cocktails, we often regret having to change our swimsuit for the following season.
After having gained dearly during the 2 to 3 months that we appreciate so much, our expensive bikini is often good to throw away while our attention is focused on other activities that are certainly more interesting; However, this is not inevitable, you just need to have the few tips that we share with you in this article to give it a more generous life expectancy.
1- Mandatory desalination
Can you imagine keeping sea salt on your skin all the time?
Probably not ; for your dear summer companion, it's the same, the fibers and fabric hate salt to the highest degree. It surrounds the fibers, hardens them and can even cause stains, so be nice to it and rinse it with fresh water.
It only takes a few seconds at the sink or the shower to save his life.
2- Avoid the washing machine
It's not like we haven't already told you that. Whether it's our dear and tender sexy lingerie, or bikinis, they hate machine cycles.
Be cool with your outfits that need special attention, and spare him endless rounds of rubbing against other clothes; opt for hand washing, it's quick and super efficient, but more than anything, your dear swimsuit will love it. If you are really lazy, which I can imagine, choose a cold cycle or at 30° maximum , without drying or spinning.
In this case, be sure to tie all the straps securely to avoid a stiff neck when exiting.
3- Natural drying
You've finally chosen to wash your bikini by hand, and that's a very good thing. Now it's time to put it out to dry and the idea of hanging it to dry on a doorknob, a faucet or a coat rack in the bathroom is tempting.
You should always keep in mind that when suspended, your jersey will stretch downwards with gravity and its weight having increased with the water still present in its fibers.
Our advice: place it to dry flat on a dryer or a white towel, and never in direct sunlight. You can wring it out gently by hand before hanging it out.

4- Mineral history
The rocks of the Maltese coast or the thick sand of the beaches of Ibiza are more solid and aggressive than they appear, and your butt resting on them will make your bikinis pale.
Lying or sitting, always remember to use the towel underneath to limit wear and tear caused by friction. This attention clearly makes a difference and will prevent pilling, or worse, tears.
5- Spas & whirlpools
Yes, it's summer and we all love spas and a few jacuzzis from time to time. What do you think your swimsuit says? Excessive heat and chemicals like chlorine are some of your swimwear's worst enemies.
If you can, change your swimsuit so as not to subject the same model to these activities (which I do not want to take you through in this article).
Just like sea water, rinsing in fresh water with a little soap will only do it good after your chill episode.
6- Sun creams & after-sun
This tip is a little tricky, but it's worth pointing out. If your skin needs it, your bikini line doesn't and it doesn't really like the idea.
Ideally, put on your sunscreen before putting on your swimsuit, 30 to 40 minutes before so that your skin absorbs most of the cream or oil.
You don't want to know what ingredients they contain, and neither does your swimsuit. Winning bonus, you won't have any sandy legs and will be ready to tan with complete peace of mind.
7- Its storage
Left aside for months, swimsuits sometimes die hard. With a few exceptions, it is stored at the bottom of the drawer before placing our big winter wool stockings on top, and often put on as it comes.
Give him a little place of choice by folding it carefully, he will be delighted and this will save you from the sacrilege of ironing, which quickly takes us to point number 8.
8- Ironing the swimsuit
It's no.
Sharing and commenting on this article is super quick & simple, we are waiting for your feedback on the subject of swimsuits. Enjoy your chill!
